Midnight Meme Of The Day!

>

by Noah

If this is how America's nightmare ends, the irony will be large. After all, what will Pat Robertson have to say? Will multiple poses of Stormy Daniels' visage end up on a future sheet of postage stamps? If so, the U.S. Postal Service will never have to worry about going bankrupt again. Mail service might even be restored to twice a day, or at least one delivery by 11:00am.

Will every town in every blue state have a Stormy Daniels Boulevard?

Will there be a Stormy Danials International Airport? If so, I hope it's Washington's current Reagan International Airport. That would be so much more appropriate. Airports should be named for someone who did something positive for their country, not usher in the economic destruction of the middle class.

In keeping with the postage stamp theme, how about a shiny new Stormy Daniels coin? I suggest a quarter that comes in $20.00 rolls. A limited edition $75.00 roll of Stormy Daniels 50 cent pieces might also be popular, although that's obviously not for everyone. And, just to be fair and balanced about all this, I propose a commemorative Donald Trump $1.00 roll of dimes.

Finally, how soon before Stormy becomes the most popular name for newborns in America?

Total silliness. Nothing is going to save America.

Now, if Stormy starts a truly left party and recruits a few high-profile people like Bernie, Elizabeth, Pramila... I'm in.

THAT is the only thing that could even possibly save America... *IF* americans still have the intellectual capacity to properly support it.

The more I see, the less I believe that americans are smart enough to even deserve to be saved.

America can only be saved if enough people care to save it. As too many USAans are too dialed into Dancing With The Stars and The Voice to have any attention span remaining to deal with real contests, I don't hold out much hope that the We the People cavalry is going to ride to the rescue.

I've read a lot about the '32 election. FDR ran as a smarter fiscal conservative and as the party that wasn't Hoover's. He did not run as a Keynesian nor on a platform of deficit spending to help recover from the collapsed Ponzi scheme that caused the great depression.

Hoover had raised taxes a bit on the rich; he'd notably appealed to the rich to help their poor brothers (voluntarily). The former was a paltry amount. The latter was, predictably, met with the sound of crickets from the rich.

FDR won because he was NOT a R. But at some point he assayed the devastation of the GD and realized that he needed to ACT and NOT as he'd campaigned. The result became the New Deal and it saved both the USA and capitalism (in a regulated state) such that WWII could be won.

In short, the voters never demanded sensible change, which at that time was revolutionairy. The voters were saved by someone who figured out what needed to be done and did it. He (and the democrats) dragged the voters along BY DOING SHIT AND SHOWING RESULTS!

We were lucky that FDR was who he was... and not who anyone alive today is.

Again, we were LUCKY!

We're incapable today of making our own luck. And our luck has long since worn out.

Stormy has more virtue than the whores in Congress. Unfortunately if we get rid of Trump another will take his place/
